Blackcomb - 02/12

The Report - Blackcomb was the plan, truck in the basement..5 min walk from the room - dang big line up
not first bucket...so ride up empty lifts via Whistler - Fitz to Garbo to Green to The really big Bucket to
Bucket ride (Peak2Peak) to Blackcomb....was it worth it?  It was cold and quiet and pleasant mostly...
Good groomers early mid mountain, great packed pow up top ¼ or the mountain, nasty ice in many
places early afternoon.  Wanted to do Suadan via 7th early afternoon(only way) but the lineup was way to painfull.
Did the big road from 7th to Solar - first time and long. Skied a number of runs on Solar - nice and fast
and icy in places....and eventually the big run out to the base.   Great sun today, great views all day,
crowds not to bad really even with Family Day Holiday in BC!  Huh? Parking still good, Food off the
charts!...Have had better snow, have had worse...but the views and being at Whistler...primo
