Victor & I putzed around today, eventually skiining along to the end of Snow Lake & up the steep chute to the ChairPeak divide and back down to Source Lake.
Breakable crust was present between 3000' and maybe 4500'. It didn't bother me on a big plank of a snowboard, but Victor had his skinny skis & whilst we rocked the high stuff, low down he was punching thru.
There's dust on the crust at 3000', maybe 3" of fresh creamy powderdelight at 5500'. Some wind effect at the ChairPeak divide, but nothing moved all day.
Brief warm up mid-afternoon that threw streams of icecubes off the rocks.
