February 6, 2018 Timberline

It was time for a sunshine fix and a groomer day. We picked up our free tickets - the benefit of age. All the lifts were functioning, except the Palmer which is closed until spring skiing begins. The grooming team was fantastic, and with high speed lifts we skied all the groomers and it was fun. No crowds, no lift lines, and we parked our campervan 60 feet from the slopes and were able to ski down to the lifts. The cloud cover lifted and we could see the "icy blue" Mt. Hood. There was a "breeze" which affected the Magic Mile lift for about an hour, but the sun softened the upper groomers. I watched Jill head down with a smile on her face. We have skied here yearly, but the snow pack is lower then most years. We stopped near 2 big boulders which we've never seen in past years. Heading SOUTH for spring skiing!
