January 24, 2018 Stevens Pass

It was a great powder day. Read that Snoqualmie was down due to no power for awhile and then no water.  It is a longer driveto Stevens Pass, but it was worth it. We arrived at 8:30am and the line waiting for the Big Chief (Kehr's) lift stretched all the way past the Tyee Creek Lodge.  Lots of enthusiasm in the line. The upper third of the mountain was in the fog. The report was 7" overnight. The telemetry was below freezing with a light breeze. We started skiing Hogsback lift and there was untracked lines everywhere. I brought the fat skis and it was a fun day. The fog was there during our visit so we did not ride Skyline. It was great to see the excellent coverage and the ability to go everywhere. The Mill Valley side was excellent.  No lift lines and you go until your body needs a break. Jill's looking forward to a nap on the drive back home.
