It's been a pretty low-snow start to the season, but the last couple storms have just about finished the snow pack on the east slopes. I think it's safe to say that the ski season has finally started. jtack and I made a lap next to the ski area today and were able to ski (with care) top to bottom without hitting any rocks. It would have been easy to find rocks, but we got lucky. I bragged about my x-ray vision, but that made me nervous, so I'm not going to talk about that any more.

proof of soft snow...

Mike, did you park behind a white van in the Mission parking lot?

I might have, Zap. I was so excited to get on the chair I've not got a clear memory of the cars around me. I was pretty close to the front yesterday, like second row. I was pretty close to the back of the lower lot today. Lots of people!

Did we cross paths?

You probably parked behinds us on Friday. We were in the first row and noticed 2 backcountry skiers walk up the steps with their backs. You moved quickly. Good to read your TR and photos. ;)
