Did a low key tour. Found a few inches of fresh over a firm crust in forest from 3000ish. Above 3600 in Southeast aspect fresh snow thickened. Wind blowing upslope affected the top few inches, with minor fracturing observed. Hit the fog line around 5200 and pulled skins. Had some d's ent turns for 1000 feet, before snow thickened and required a bit more work.
Thanks, Randy! :).
Good snow with crap visibility and vice versa. What else could you ask for!? :D
The little bit of fracturing was up near that 5200 high point - just the top inch or maybe two cracking in a very short radius spiderweb from my skis - maybe two feet out max. Was near a ridge. Below that I saw shallow surface sluffing but no cracking.
