Had a nice 5 day trip to Manning in early Dec in the middle of the high pressure system. About a foot of light powder was found at pass level with no crusts anywhere for the most part. Thin snow pack and thick forest cover in the lower elevations created some challenges but otherwise skinning and skiing were straightforward and very nice. Had a couple days skate skiing on the Nordic trails as well which was quite nice. Stayed at the resort there in the basic cabins which were spartan but adequate. Hot tub and sauna at night was most welcome. The downhill area wasn't open yet so we climbed to the top and enjoyed great views of Hozomeen mt and untracked in all directions.
It's about a 3 1/2 drive from Everett and a pleasant escape from crowds and the depressing political news in our country.

Nice trip report and video. It was been years since I was at Manning Provincial Park. ;)

Thanks for the report! All except the yoga move over the log...my hammy is still cramping😛!

Looks good. We are heading up there next week for my first time. Th - Sun.

Any suggestions on tours or maps that can help us.

We have the  guide book for Canada coast mountains by Baldwin.
