What a day...
The softening surface allowed me to ski the chutes starting about 100 feet from the crater rim on a beautiful sunny Sunday. Little to no ice fall after several days of obvious cleaning. Many parties enjoyed controlled turns on the upper mountain with no falls and plenty of smiles, hoots, and hollers around. Basking on the Hogsback, as usual, was like a visit to South Beach. The only real challenge was deciding how many laps to do. If you missed out, there's always next year. But if ya got some, you know what I'm talking about! It was definitely not a hard day out.
