WTB: Skins
« on: 10/23/17, 08:46 PM »

Looking for a pair of skins.

Skis are 173 length, 106 underfoot, so something I could make work would be great.

Looking to keep it under $100, less the better. Let me know if ya got something, PM here or text -

Thanks

Backcountry.com regularly has their Backcountry branded skins on sale for cheap. They have some now in various sizes. They're just rebranded G3 Alpinist skins, good quality stuff. I've used one set for three seasons of hard use with no complaints.

Have a pair of older BD Ascension skins the black and white design that I cut to fit my old Volkl Explosives that are 120 in the tip and 95 under foot.   I have been using them in my resort pack in case I find myself in a place where they would be handy.   They work fine with my newer skis which are 130 in the tip and 105 under foot and 178cms in length.   I have newer skins that I will use for this season so if you want them they are yours no charge.   I will be taking a pair of skis to the shop in North Bend for a binding change and could bring them at that time.   Since I live on the east side I could leave them at the shop for you as the people there are very cool and I'm sure they would hold them for you.   My tentative date to drop by the shop is Monday Nov. 6.

I have a pair that were on, I think, 173 K2 Explorers, probably 70 or 75 under foot.
They'll be free if they get picked up in Kent or on a Sunday at Paradise.

Hey Ron I was able to ski Timberline last April on a late season storm and pow fest and seeing the hut at the top of the lift made me think of you and that great time a few years back.

Hah Smiley Thanks for the kind thoughts and words, filbo.
We're still doing the Silcox/Hood annual climb/ski the first weekend in May, around 18 of us every year. 2018 will be our 21st year.
Apologies for the thread drift, cascaderoots.
Email if you have any interest in the free skins. I might even be able to find some free skis to go with them Smiley
