The thin snow crust had not quite corned up by the time we turned around at 8500' when the breeze picked up, but shortly after we started down conditions turned to creamy butter. Pan Face was skiable and Mother Nsture decided she needed one of my ski edges, just like she took one from Amar yesterday. We saw (retired)!Ranger Hannah continuing up toward Camp Muir in a tshirt, embarrassing us wimps. We enjoyed apres ski beers in the parking lot and waved to the cubesters who might be checking the webcam (on their breaks of course.). Thanks Greg and Zack for getting me off the couch on what might be the last beautiful day for a while.
My condolences to your edges. I found a norelco five bladed rock on sat where the first blade caressed the wax, the second blade lifted the base, the third blade took a bite of ptex, I forget what those other blades are for but luckily it'll all fill in with wax. Not a day for the A sticks. Waving back from cubeland.

Nice day out with an exceptional crew!
