After a California climbing trip and a mysterious stomach bug that cost me 16 pounds in 10 days, I found myself in a pinch for September TAY, with not much time or strength to get the ten-year milestone. After conditions updates from runcle and Donnelly M, and GregLange's TR, I opted for the Baker area, and my wife came for company. Forecast rain started early overnight, but did not soften the cups.  The Bagley sliver below Table is only about 3/4 mile from the visitor center. It winds out of sight into a gully and was around 300' long. Ice spikes were useful.  After two runs I had loosened my fillings enough and was getting wet. 120 blissful months of year-round skiing and only a couple of handfuls of poor ski days!  Here's hoping our OcTAYberfest will be on some freshies....

(inspiration from Smokey Robinson and the Miracles:)

          TRACKS OF MY TURNS
People say I'm the life of the skintrack
'Cuz I post a tour or two
But these September turns that I have to earn
Got me feeling blue
So take a good look at that face
You see my skis look out of place
If you look closer it's still hard to trace
The tracks of my turns
Whoa-oh-oh-oh I need snow....
Congrats, telemack! 10 years. There should be a patch.

Congratulations! Keep streak alive!
