Quick TR for now. Smooth-enough skiing on softened snow exceeded moderate expectation.

Skinned from pan point, skied a little below Pebble Creek.  Expect a refreeze tonight.

Edit: Photos added. It was one of the best September ski days any of the four of us could remember. Smooth, easy skiing with good weather in a beautiful place.
Fun day up there. Gotta love the late sunsets. I found a purple-patterned wool hat on muir snowfield, can be picked up at paradise visitor center. Not sure if TAY has lost and found page.

September sessions

While it's a minor note -- we did see some instability across the valley. Gravity knows no season.

Sweet picture of the Nisqually chute in September coverage, good comparison for the deep pack later on.

And all the skiers on their way to nirvana....
