Mount Carrie, ONP was created by blackdog102395
Took a family trip to ONP and up to Hurricane Ridge for the first time. Having spent the previous 10 days before the family adventure knocking out tours on Rainier and Hood, my mind was still fully focused on turns. My first look at Mount Carrie had me already planning for next June/July. I found this trip report while searching:

Anyone have any thoughts, general or specific, regarding June/July turns on Mount Carrie?

A lovely area; check out the basins to the east below Stephen Pk. if you have time.  Here's an alternative approach / exit, though it looks pretty gnarly with skis.   Might be worth it earlier in the year when the Soleduc Road is closed:  peakbagger.com/peak.aspx?pid=965
Several lost High Divide / Bailey Range hikers over the decades have come out to the Elwha via Cat Creek.  I suspect there are strong elk trails higher up, above the lower gorge.
