We€™re back from the Ptarmigan Traverse safe and relatively sound!

Incredible beauty and pristine nature. Well worth the effort!

Beta:  Lots of walking w/ skis on pack or in hand, but lots of looong runs too.
If you decide to choose between a rope or a helmet, go w/ the helmet.  Many of the visible slots are less than 20ft deep or very narrow.

An amount of slide alder on the trail up Bachelor Cr has been pruned on the climbers left side trail.

Red Ledges probably only has 40ft of (hard) snow clinging to the north (Koolaid Lk) side of the ledges.

All lakes have liquid water.

Cascade Pass Rd and Suiattle R Rds are open.
Mtn Loop Hwy should be open as well as Mowich Lk Rd (MORA).

Great TR and video. ;)
