2 July: Kautz cleaver + low 1/2 Success couloir

Quick TR: With Victor. The photo is scavenged from the Interweb, there are many more crevasses in reality.
Entered Kautz cleaver at 1/3 height, thru notch directly above red splodge at bottom, center-right. Booted right up, joined success couloir, the obvious center track. Stopped at 11500 when some 4 dudes dropped & told us snow above was bollocks ice & penitents, (but 2000'below summit was great). It was 3pm anyway & we were shin deep in mush. Shredded down to Comet Falls. Snow was supereme corn below 10500', not cupped enough to thow a charger off the curve, some runnels, ditto. Cleaver was classic, even if we missed a bit.

Hell of a line getting a fair amount of attention. I'll have to head that way next spring!
