Colchuck is still worth the walk, I did have to make a short carry on the way up, just to avoid the bolder hop twice, but was still able to ski all the way to the lake. Started down about 13:00 and it was great, about the best corn this season for me.  Met some nice guys to share the decent with, thanks.

Did you get a look at the NBC?  Wondering if it will be in on the 4th.

For skiing?  I climbed it on 6/11 and there were already 3 exposed (but easy to navigate) rock steps.  The traverse to the north face was on dry loose ledges but the face was still well snow covered.  I'm sure it looks considerably different now however...

Yes for skiing.  Thanks for the info; I was assuming it would be a bit late but might be worth a look anyway.

I climbed it on the 18th... I felt it'd probably be out for climbing within two weeks due to an inability to leave the snow to cross moats. Above the top of the couloir, there was more rock than snow.

Unless you really like skiing steep runneled couloirs filled with rappels, rock steps, and extended snow narrower than a ski width, the colchuck glacier would be a lot more fun!

Nice Jamie! Looks like you hit it perfect.

Your pictures are better than mine were. My crux was traversing that damn bolderfield with skis dragging...
