June 13, 2017, Mt Margaret

After the good snow last week on Silver, I wanted to go skiing again this week.  Only had time for a short trip.  I've never been in the area near Mt. Margaret so I thought I'd check it out.  Drove to the parking for 1332 Mt Margaret trail and hiked uphill through dirt.  The trail started having patchy snow around 4400 and when I got into forest the snow became continuous.  Went over the lower summit south of Margaret, then went up Margaret.  Skied down westerly slopes, with an almost continuous descent for just over 1000 feet before traversing south to regain the trail.  Cloudy conditions so no good photos.  Not really worth repeating right now, but I had fun.
