We started skinning about halfway to the foot bridge gaining 5500' up to Whitman Crest at 9200'. Continuous skiing on a broad ridge brought us down to 6600' by Panhandle Gap, then up 400' to the entrance to Sarvant Gl which is isolated, somewhat hidden offering 1600' of nice run. One more uphill for 800' reaches a saddle off Tamanos to catch the Owyhigh Lk trail whihc is mostly bare after crossing a log bridge.  It was a long tour through wonderful alpine terrain with great skiing.  At the moment, I would suggest climbing back Sarvant Gl and return via Panhandle Gap.

We reaching the saddle over Tamanos ridge at 6:30pm, spent 3 hrs back to the car.  13.5 hrs, 17miles, 7400' including a few navigation errors.
I've done this route about a half dozen times and it is among my favorite in the PNW -  looks good for a while yet,  thanks.

A big loop indeed.  Beautiful corner of MRNP - thanks for posting.

Neat looking trip, thanks for sharing.
