Back when I used to make regular flights to California, I'd post in the "Conditions Forum", buried at the bottom of TAY. Those posts rarely saw any traffic, perhaps because they were buried.

I took a sunny flight SJC-SEA on the morning of June 6, 2017. Once this thread gets old, I'll repost the photos in the South Cascades Conditions forum (or ask mods to move it).

Thanks for the nice aerial pics, Charlie. I really wish I had a reason to take flights from SeaTac to California along the entire Cascade Range more often, but it's about a once-in-several-years event for me.

BTW: The pic in Reply #3 labeled Thielsen is actually Diamond Peak from the WSW, with Odell Lake behind it.

Beautiful photos. I don't fly that much, but whenever I do, and have a clear day over the Cascades, I find it hard to understand why most people close their window shades and look at their electronics instead.

Yep! I think they were an idea that Charles tried out, and never got a lot of traction. There's potential there to help everyone find better ski conditions, but its position at the bottom of the timeline makes it unlikely that anyone will ever see it!
