I went up to Paradise with low expectations due to the forecast for hot weather and recent trip reports from around the Cascades talking about "mush." Left Camp Muir at 2:00 PM. The first 500' was good snow but rough, as usual, from all the traffic. From 9,500' to 7,600' was smooth corn. From 7,600' down to Pan Point was grabby. Pan Face to the parking lot was survival, snowplow turns. One and one half zillion people in the Paradise parking lot.

If you're going up this weekend you might leave Muir a little earlier than I did and be able to stretch the good skiing further below 7,600'.  That said, 2,400 vertical of hero corn is still pretty nice.
