May 26, 2017, Alpental

It was great to return to the Cascades. I drove by the 3 other ski areas and their skiing days have past.  But Alpental has snow from the base of Armstrong lift all the way up. It was warm, but I reached Lower International which had a nice breeze. Lower International was an enjoyable run. I then skinned the Cascade Traverse which had a couple of slides, but it was skin-able up to the top of Armstrong.  A small group was skiing Debbie's Gold for a short distance and then would boot up for a redo.  I skied down the Eisfallen trail which was in great shape. Then I skied down Sessel for a nice finish. It feels good to be back home (and to have Jill back home €“ she was in TX visiting her sister). ;)
