There was “no freeze” overnight. Lifts start at 8:30am and it was a “go”. A fat ski day and begin the crazing. I couple of locals asked me what are those skis an “Icelantic Shaman”. OK, I know they look different but they are great for powder and “slush”. Met a Crystal local and a retired slalom ski team member. I nice day. Run all the groomers and avoid the section of the slope that is covered my a tree “icy”. When the groomers are slushy, I move over and ski the terrain park along the “none jump” sections. This is the last week here and the backcountry crew will have the mountain to yourself and hopefully have an overnight freeze.

Many of us have skied the Three Sisters and Broken Top. Yes, there is plenty of snow. BUT, the Cascade Lakes Highway is not plowed yet. Make a new friend that has a snow machine and bring a 6 pack for the ride. Or get your legs ready for a long access, just yet. ;)
