Conditions now, TR later.

Snow at the level of the parking lot. Up Soldier-Boy Creek to Sahale Arm, returned same. Found no clean way to avoid shenanigans on the way up or down at the ~4-4.7k level, but readily avoided the active shooting gallery of Cascade Pass.  Those shenanigans will be more arduous within a few days.

Snow soft but working on a melt-freeze crust; give it time, it's the only way. Plenty of activity on all steep slopes, but J-berg dropped fewer impressive slides Sunday than Saturday.  A lot of cornices have dropped, but some remain. Readily cut pinwheels and slow hissers ~10cm deep on our return trip.

Anyone know whose heli flew through Cascade Pass around 1 pm? I have photos for you.
