Seems so unlikely when you're standing in the parking lot but it is winter up there.  Conditions are also quite different than a week ago. Slot entrance was completely wind scoured. Followed by definite wind effects, variably distributed. We proceeded cautiously. Got one pocket chunk of slab to release about 1/3 of the way down at the constriction skiers right that ran the length. Not enough to bury but would knock you around. Felt better after that and let loose-r which was fun 'cause the snow was really good!

Didn't see any additional tracks coming up our skin track out of Thunder but while skiing out we ran into two parties of 3 coming up the phantom trees at 9:30am... not sure if all of them made it up. Seems the reporting here brought some folks out because it has been mighty deserted back there in them Snoqualmie hinterlands of late.
The ski out was much better than last Friday... but we were also way earlier. I imagine that supportive crust will not be so supportive later in the day today. It progressively disintegrated as we skied down requiring turns with a little more effort, but still fun.

Skinned all the way up from the car... often slippery skinning with a bit more effort required. Dust (2-3") on crust today, may be just crust tomorrow (bring ski crampons; we didn't). North should hold where not exposed, was still windy up there, may refill some.

No pics from today from me, but here's one from last week:
(NOT snoqualmie mt.)  rubbly out there

Can't speak for the first party of three, but the second party of three, which was actually four, definitely made it and the Slot was primo. Snowing hard up top.

good for you!  Thanks for not mentioning our rather hungover skin track.

Hope that splitboarder made it. He was struggling with the slippery crust and what looked like not enough skin coverage on his planks.

He did, but it was touch and go.
