May 31-June 10
« on: 04/27/17, 07:28 PM »

I decided to put off getting a summer job until mid-June and make a triumphant return to the promise land for some much needed butterquesting. Flight gets in on a Wednesday and I plan on fleeing for the hills immediately for at least 3 days, hopefully four if weather is solid. I have some ideas for the 5th-10th involving night photography and riding in the Southern Pickets or Eldorado area or something. Saving Rainier for the last couple of days before leaving, but am open to suggestions for the first leg of the trip. May be a stretch, but if Glacier Meadows still has a lot of snow I'm up for a more relaxed multi-day trek up the Hoh for some Olympus turns.

Just an update on this: If anyone is interested in a 5/31-6/3 trip let me know. I've narrowed it down to Glacier Peak environs or hitting up Olympus since Glacier Meadows will still have extensive snow coverage. (Plus I've been jonesing for some good night photography without light pollution.)
