Quick TR, primarily to state that Spearhead-Traverse conditions look wonderful.

Susan and I didn't want to chance getting trapped by weather or instability on the distant part of the Traverse, so we opted for a fun jaunt out toward Tremor and back. Tobae joined in, too, making a good trip even better.

A warming crust dominated the ski quality on all but the highest peaks, but the views were sublime.  Great turns off Pattison became breakable. Climbing back up to Decker Lake was spooky in the heat.

Skiing inbounds Saturday and Sunday was as one might expect, variable with both elevation and aspect. Ticked the Peak-to-Creek off the bucket list Sunday; it just barely went. Whistler/Blackcomb is darn fine when every gondola, chair, and T-bar is nigh ski-on.

If the Spearhead is on your list, and you have the requisite mountain skill, find a weather window and go get it. Mind the cornices. Glaciers are filled-in, but they're still glaciers.
Great photos. Love the B&W

Nice photos!

Was up there a couple weekends ago for the first time. On day 1 of the spearhead, we skied by GPS.
