I try to go up there every Spring in recent years, but it's not always easy to find willing companions especially after their 1st trip.  The infamous fisherman's trail is still there and decent shape, but not too hard to wonder off.  More skiers should visit there to make it into a nice skiers trail.  As it is, those skis on one's pack encourages some yoga moves over fallen logs, etc.

The TH is about 2100', we started skinning at around 3400' and topped out at 6550'.  The views were spectacular as usual all around.  The snow seemed stable and no huge cornices overlooking us.

The Bedal summit offers one of the best view of Sloan as well as many peaks along the Mtn loop highway.

Skiing was excellent right off the summit.

One of many lunch breaks:

Thanks for the great photos

Wow, thanks very much for the report and the photos! Bedal has some of the best views for sure. Looks like the snow was great too!!

Is the fisherman's trail different from the one that Kevin was working on a few years ago?

The shot looking down the valley is incredible. Awesome trip!

Sure looks like the same trail especially the part about going under fallen trees.

That is such a beautiful setting after you bust out into the alpine, thanks for the awesome pix.

looks amazong. can i ask, why do folks hike the lower in skiboots? seems like even sneakers are better option even 30 minute walk... what gives?

Actually two walked in hiking shoes, three in ski boots.  I hate carrying boots, also they sometimes make tree-yoga more difficult.  Mainly we thought the path would be wetter/muddier, it turned out not the case and shoes were easier.  Also the snow line was higher than we originally thought.  The path was not like a packed hiking trail, ski boots were not bad at all and simpler.  All depends.
