Discouraged by the Easter crowd and the wind and the crust, we bailed out quickly before the Pan Point and headed the Mazama ridge for Easter powder hunt. We found some soft remnants in tree shade in the south slopes on the way. Continued over the ridge and finally found ~6" of dense powder in the N/NE slopes, spent the rest of the day skiing and breaking trails in the Cascade powder. Even skiing down to the road was enjoyable in the mid afternoon.
