The sign now says the Longmire gate closes at 9PM, it must be the Spring season! Anyway, there were a dozen cars in the lot with mixed snow tools including boots. We didn't have much high expectations for the snow quality, but it turned out great. Even the South slopes were good in the sun, at least the upper ~400', then got increasingly stiff. The North side skied very well, people were spread out on the ridge between Castle and Foss. Nice to have powder in April, especially when the sunshine is rare.
