Heavenly Valley Powder and Sun 4/8/17 was created by avajane
Second powder day in a row made up for bad weather at Kirkwood. This time it was 12" of new and Nevada Sunshine! The Stagecoach locals are a very friendly group and so excited with all of their snow this year. Amazing to ski powder in such a large, wide area with perfectly spaced trees.

We have a sorta inherited timeshare at 7400' nearby the Stagecoach lift. I'd imagine that based on the lack of crowds you could search and find a great deal up there from a local. I ate at Fox and Hound (only restaurant up there) and found it an amusing place with ok food and a local, party vibe with a beautiful view! Quarter Video Poker at the bar reminds you that you're in Nevada.😎

Thanks Brian
Our son skied there in 2010 and we would like to go there sometime.
We mostly have skied Squaw Valley as that is where the kids lived and had passes.

Lodging and meals....Used to do Tahoe every mid April for years, never had a room reservation...never had a problem, some dives, some very nice....never had a food problem - the big casinos have lots of food and there are more places to eat than you could do in a life time of visits....but we never stayed anywhere other than South Lake or North Lake (northwest close to Squaw/Alpine)...I love Tahoe...would like to locate down in the Nevada side of the lake...great skiing (mostly again), great hiking/biking, just great place to have to live....

Squaws a "better" ski area, but Heavenly's always had a lot going for it. It's much larger, obviously has huge potential for world class tree skiing in the right conditions, and it does have Gun Barrel...if you're a Bump skier...I'll probably like it more as I getThanks Brian
