We set out with very low expectations for the day, hoping mostly for some good views but ended up getting some decent skiing! We approached Silver Peak via Hyak, which is longer but a beautiful tour through some old growth trees heading towards Olallie Meadow. We skied off the east side of silver and got an assortment of conditions- breakable crust, proto-corn, mank, and slide debris but it was surprisingly fun! We than climbed above twin lakes to gain the west ridge and dropped into the zipper couloir. Someone had booted up it already in the morning and flushed some snow out, but there was still some surprisingly dry cold pow preserved in the chute. Unfortunately that pow didn't do a good job covering the blue ice death cookies from a previous slide cycle and had us taking an occasional nice turn mixed with a few survival turns.

All in all a fun day in the mountains! Hoping for the corn cycle to start coming soon, the snowpack looks great!

Really surprisingly fun skiing off the summit of Silver Peak!

Zipper chute was a bit more type 2 fun but we were all in good spirits getting to ski an aesthetic line we'd been eyeing for a long time.

When we were booting the along the west face above Annette lake it was still pretty firm and seemed like it would be really good corn with a couple more hours of sun.

Fat reverse camber skis make skiing during the transition between winter and spring much more fun!!

y'all took care of that day nicely!  Sweet link up, and visuals too.
