Hopes of finding corn were not realized but skiing was decent.
Approach: North Fork Teanaway Rd is completely snow covered from the turnaround area where pavement ends.
Easy snowmobile drive 5 miles to the Beverley Turnpike/Bean Trail TH. Creek banks are holding 6' of snow at the crossing. Creek was running average flow (6" of water).
Tour: Climbed Western aspect of Earl topping out at 6680' about 30 minutes after the sun came out. Upper slopes skied good though soft and strenuous. Lower slopes were toast by the time we got back down. Headed to N/NE aspects on the West side of the basin and found 1-2" trapper crust. North side of ridge was holding wind transported snow underneath the rust, most cornices in tact. Descended South facing slope from 6300' and saw lots of loose wet sluffing but no propagation or stepping down. Nice little 2100' run back down to the creek.

Thanks for the TR! I'd considered heading that direction this weekend, but without a road report from the forest service (and no snowmobile), it wasn't worth the gamble.

We did an exploratory sled trip out there on Fri to check out the conditions on Stu. I've never seen so much snow on the road this late in the season. It's going to be a long while before the road is drivable. Should be a great corn season in the range.
