Frozen hard groomers to start. Quickly thawing sunny aspects next. The Frontside went from frozen to unconsolidated soft in an instant. Gondy Line, Exterminator, Sluiceway/Berry Patch were great. Lots of - gone now - smooth untracked skied great even as it turned to boot-top heavy mush. Most aspects were acres of frozen wet-snow rollers from previous days, however. Shady slopes, North Facing Valley Bowl, never softened and were breakable rain crust full of frozen chicken heads. Smooth untracked in the Goldilocks Zone kept us smiling till it finally went full glop-mode about 1:00. Freezing will NOT be your friend.

We got there about 11 o'clock and skied to closing bell. Our early groomers were nice. In fact we never found them too sloppy all day. Showtime, right under REX, got skied up enough to be really fun. Memorial was skiable as was Sunnyside but they were work. Snorting Elk was good. The slopes on skiers left of lower snorting elk went off. We did a Snorting Elk, Kelly's Gap, Berry Patch, lower E run at 3:40 and it was great all the way down. There're some sticky spots here and there later in the day. A beautiful day in the sunshine.
