Victor & rampaged up Roosevelt for the Holy Diver.
The rain crust from Friday was everywhere, but under about 4-6€ of dry, unconsolidated snow, less at lower elevations. Sun however was making wetslides at breakfast time in the east-gully approach so we went up through the trees to the east ridge & booted up in crampons & using other spikely appendages, went up to the summit and watched blips ski across the lake.
The diver was not so steep as I remembered it. The snow was soft and plentiful and the skiboarding was perfecto.
We went all the way to Lower Wildcat lake for a full tour, stopping to boot up and put the shredder on a sweet looking gully. Tea by the lake.
Crusty-clown was under the new snow, being a nuisance while we skinned back up in the glory of the Cascades backyard to the east ridge of Roosevelt, back down the increasingly heavy manky sunsnow, over the lake & home.
Rockin!
A fun tour and great day in the Alpine.  More pics.

And more pics with Jake's special extra attachment that transforms the whippet closer to an ice ax (ask Jake for purchasing!)

The Holy diver couloir and the boot track up the East ridge of Roosevelt.
