march 16, 2017, summit central (+ hyak skin laps)

I hoped for a bit more warming mid-day at Hyak for  some good aerobic exercise, but at least the 1/2-1"  fresh over last weekend's groomers skied  mostly  smoothly, with some softening especially in sunnier aspects. Groomers on the  lower half far skiers left runs  of the  area had fresh corduroy which was sweet. It was more fun than hiking Si for exercise for sure (and even  that does  not  suck). But after 3 laps I decided to go join my wife on the lifts at  Ski  Acres (aka Summit  Central), which she reported as  being nicely soft.  True enough! Very nice proto-corn. At least  on the groomers which included the usual  two  off triple 60 as well as silver nugget and  hog wild over on silver  fir.  Didn't start freezing back up until a bit  after 5 PM. Life could be worse.
