I'm a long time lurker, living in Idaho. Judging by the few posts this month, the snow isn't that great right now over there. If you are itching to get into some goods, head to the Eastern Sierras. Record snow and a good weather window had me rallying down last Friday. The first day we hit Mt. Williamson outside Independence. The snow was bad on the north side, but we were going for the line and not good snow. Skiing closer to mammoth we hit the Menedenhall couloir on Mt. Laurel. Powder in the shade gave way to good corn if timed right. My last day was spent on Mt. Tom. Again decent soft winter snow in the shade above 11,000' gave way to corn. Low snow lines currently allow for skiing to the car with minimal walking on dirt. This post is simply meant to give you an idea the skiing is prime down there right now. If you've ever dreamed of skiing on the east side and can swing a trip, pull the trigger.
Nice!  Sounds primo. Thanks for the report from down south.

Right on, I want to go
