Snowbell and I skied that several years ago in late spring conditions.  Looks like we stopped in the upper basin after 1100' or so; we did not go all the way down to Lake Ellinor (visible).  There are several entries at the top.  A lot of that valley is a bit of a terrain trap in unstable conditions. 
It is a great feeling to drop off the developed Lake Cushman side and into that very isolated part of the mountain!   Cool

Yes...that's the draw for me. I agree on the terrain trap aspect. I'll post something if I do it. Thank you.
