My son and I enjoyed two touring days over mid-winter break around WA Pass. The snowmobile travel is now 7 miles longer and considerably more bumpy than December. Rumor is that the road will be groomed again tomorrow (TU 2/28). Fingers crossed.

2/21 was a visit to Shangri-la. From the Cutthroat turn-off followed a nice up-track (thank-you) for nearly the whole way to the knob at 6780. Enjoyed several shorter runs and then tree skiing back down to the road. 4-6" of powder from the top to about 5000. Less nice powder on crud from there to 4200 on the road.

2/24 was a skin up from Blue Lake Trailhead to Spire and Liberty Bowls. A nice up-track filled in with 3-5" of powder made for easier travel to the bench at 7400. Skied Spire to 6200, skinned back up and skied Liberty back to the sleds.

Both days were super enjoyable with my son and we were all alone.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

Nice selection! Looks like you had great weather to boot. Based on the forecast, the bumps should be gone by the weekend.
