We set out at 5am from the White Salmon parking lot and worked our way to the valley floor by head lamp.  We hit a skin tack on the valley floor put in by a party of two a little ahead of us and followed that about about a third of the way up the glacier (thanks for putting that in). That party turned around due to the deteriorating weather. After we hit their hight point, we also debated turning around due to the worsening weather.  We ultimately decided to continue on and the clouds ended up blowing out 30mins later.  We broke trail to the top of WSG.  Around 10am we reached the ridge just as the sun crested and were treated to some spectacular views over lunch.

The weather looked like is was about to turn, so we headed down and enjoyed a great descent of bottomless champagne powder for a majority of the WSG.  The lower quarter, got a little heavier but still extremely fun.

We followed a skin track from hell back into the resort as the weather finally blew in.

The WSG is in great shape.

NICE!!!!  POW vids are always nice....

Way to get it!

First off, you're welcome for the skin track up. Secondly, sorry about that return skin track. We followed an old track that turned out to be a downhill track, ended up dead-ended and whacked some bushes to get back to better slopes. If it makes you feel any better we had it worse. We broke trail through the bushes. I think subconsciously it was our way of getting back at you because we chickened out, while you got the goods. Super jelly, but hungry to get that route for real next time the stars align.

We ended up driving to Heather meadows to join the hordes of snowshoers, a truckload of WAC skiers bunched together, and dog crap everywhere. We climbed up Table Mountain and traversed it in white-out conditions, then dropped  down the north side for a pleasant, no-vis descent to Bagley. Not a bad way to salvage the day.

Elagant, love the powder, love the edit, perfect music and a fantastic line, thanks for sharing the turns!
