Feb. 19, 2017, Summit At Snoq. Nordic Trails

We cruised into a parking spot right next to the Silver Fir lift at a bit after 1, glad that the rain just below the pass finally gave way to something that looked a lot like snow flakes. Went up to check out the view over Rockdale Loop, broke some trail into the big woods beneath Radio Mountain (off the groomed for a bit), then did a mix of outer and inner then outer again loops, finishing with down Creek Run (where the patrol sweep passed us, confident we could get ourselves back OK) and the I90 crossover back to the car.

It was quite nice! We pretty much had it to ourselves, and there was a nice layer of 1-3" of fresh snow on the groomer, and maybe 5 +/- off to the side. Snowball/snowman snow to be sure, but it made for very sweet kicking and gliding and just felt to both of us like it was the right place for us to be this afternoon!
