2" wet fresh snow overnight was resting on ~4" wet sugary supportive base between4400-6400' on east and west aspects. The thick wet snow required strong smooth turns.
Silas, not sure where you went but looking into Crystal lakes zone from Boxcar cornice there were large natural slides on many aspects from East to north that didn't inspire confidence in the snowpack.
