Hey all - longtime lurker, first time poster!

We had a beautiful bluebird day and mild temps, so we decided to head up Arrowhead mountain. Skinning over supportable crust with a dusting of powder on top, we followed what looked like a solo track up towards the east side of the bowl. A healthy bit of bushwhacking got us onto the ridge, which we we followed up to point 5909. The view of the Chiwaukums from here was spectacular: http://i.imgur.com/JWKIP0G.jpg

There was debris from a few natural slides on the east facing terrain under the ridge, and cornices had grown with the recent snow and wind.

The plan was to cross the saddle and head up Arrowhead, but it was clear there was recent avalanche activity (likely from the rain on snow last week) on the west face of Arrowhead (as well as the south face), so we opted to ski down from the saddle instead. The snow was pretty variable with pockets of powder amidst mostly hard, supportable crust, but the views were worth it!

Nice! I rode the north bowl below the false summit of Jim Hill and found some nice pockets of snow mixed with variable crust as we got lower.

Oh nice, we saw some skiers descending that from pt 5909 - maybe it was you!
