CONS: closed areas -- SBack, gates 8-10, SignLine (Powder Bowl) due to fracture caused by Thur afternoon Patrol work
PROS: screaming fast AM groomers, warm temps, PM sun, AutoBahn (top to bottom), Right Angle, Iceberg Gulch, C6 (skier's right of chair)

...arrived in expectation of frozen slop and left over carnage from Thursday's big rain -- but once again Ops came through and generated better than expected conditions, rented a pair of GS boards (Rossi Pursuit 800) that ripped on the morning's groomers and an all-mountain ski (Rossi Experience 88) for the afternoon softness...

...all tree skiing was instantly regrettable, but about noon the sun came out and things softened up somewhat...AutoBahn was very nice 3X, Willie's Run and Right Angle were surprisingly nice in the sun...lots of avalanche debris (Little Portillo, under RockFace)...word on the hill that Patrol tried very hard to get EHousing to go on Thursday but failed...not sure where the crowds at the bottom dispersed to, but it was a warm and fun day in the sun...

Northway was empty and pretty darn good and then the Frontside got warm and sunny.
Mrs Scotsman did her first MF and there was no stopping her after that.
Spent the afternoon being very ddkish and hamstering the Frontside with a preference for the Tube.
She bailed on me by 3:00 Pm so I got a final lap down Right Angle which was mostly still in the sun with a re-freeze starting.
Lovely day..powder is overrated( no not really but conditions were pretty good).

My posse calls it the Tube.
Our battlecry when the frontside goes of is " I'm going to Lube the Tube...!!!"

Well The Tube was well lubed yesterday. As usual, the first place to smooth out and soften on a sunny day.
