Similar to Silas we found 15" to 24" of very low density powder on NE through W aspects in old growth forest.  Skinning was slow with ski penetration to the base of the knee at times, less in the denser canopy.  Three of us came from Roslyn and met three from Leavenworth who showed us some wonderful tree skiing on an otherwise high hazard day.   No pics, too deep and snowing hard all day to want to try to get the camera out.  Many thanks to the couple who got the head start on breaking the skin track.  Team effort.
Great meeting you and chatting in the skin track. Awesome day, almost too much powder... almost.
Thanks to you and your crew for breaking the trail for the last 1500ft. According to my fancy-pants watch, being able to draft you guys doubled our speed.
