Climbed up the N/NE Couloir on McClellan Butte on 2017-01-31
Found annoying breakable crust on E-NNE aspects to nearly bulletproof on N-WNW aspects. Some spots were soft, but debris was aplenty. Will go back with better snow, but conditions were good for climbing! The forest approach is best to follow road grade to established hiking trail, we walked more on the way down than up which made us feel like we made good choices and we both still have both ACLs.
