We spent the night in Medford with mild temperatures, green hills, and no snow. We arrived at Mt. Ashland after a 8.5 mile drive off I-5. They were closed last year, but this year the snow pack is enormous. They close on Monday and re-open on Thursday. They'd received 3” in the past days and the powder was great. The Bowl had nice lines through the chutes andl along the sides. There were nice long, steep trails that were groomed and many that were ungroomed with tree skiing. The base is at 6338' and the summit at 7533'. There will still be snow this spring when the Ashland Shakespeare Festival starts. "Telemack", unfortunately you have to be 70 plus for the free lift ticket. We're now heading “SOUTH”.

Ashland bowl holds snow well into summer after a good year. You can drive to the top on dirt roads and park just a few yards from the drop-in. Looks like this will be one of those summers.
I know I know, I'm still too young to follow in your footsteps.... ;)
