A final tour on Hokkiado. Yoshiko Chomon and I toured with a Hokkiado mountain club backcountry ski class. Toured from 300 meters up to 1000 meters where the wind was blowing and the snow became crusty. Skiing down had variable snow at first, quite a challenge for some of the newer ski tourers. The group worked well to ensure everyone got back OK. At the trailhead it was a blizzard, It seems Mt Yotei wants to tease us after a fairly low snow trip to Hokkaido. Later at the osen, Mt Yotei teased again with sun.
