Gate opened at 10:30. Not bad considering they had a couple of slides to punch through. Broke trail under mostly cloudy skies through 12 to 18 inches of powder...quite the trudge through the deep. Spin drift, windy and much colder above treeline with "Huge" cornices on the ridge crest. Wind effected snow on the west shoulder, like a small craft advisory, choppy, crusty, wind pack, a mixed bag. North bowls and sheltered zones would have been great but I didn't have the time or the energy for more climbing. Enjoy the skin track!
