Like Zap, Brian had a birthday ski day, slightly over half Zaps age. 
Sun at Silver Fir was the hope to start the day, but fog sent us to Sessel at Alpental while we ran the half sunny groomers waiting for Chairs 1 & 2 to load. Back to Silver Fir for sun and snacks, including Brian's first free beer of the day. My TLT5P boots were not made for lift skiing in cold weather, so I needed a warming break about every 4 rides. A few Central Express runs with Linda, retired Alpental patroller, were fun and inspiring. Then back to Alpental for more free beer and groomer scraping for the evenings racers. I finished the day with a chilly fresh groomer run at West. Great to have such variety of ski opportunity less than an hour from Seattle. Thanks Brian.
