Mission Ridge snow was created by philfort
Mission Ridge is reporting 39 inches of new snow in the past day, but most other sites only got moderate amounts (Baker nothing, Crystal 6 inches). The nearby Trough snotel shows similar amounts of new snow as Mission Ridge (about 34 inches), but even Blewett Pass (which is only a few miles away) only shows about 8 inches new. Most other east side sites seem to have got barely anything.
What kind of weather phenomenon leads to this crazy disparity???
